Abstract

The purpose of the test method proposed in this report is to be able to check the efficiency of solar collector arrays, based on in-situ measurements with only a few measuring channels and relatively short measuring time. Large collectors or arrays cannot be tested in stationary indoor simulator conditions, but have for practical reasons to be tested outdoors. As the Nordic climate is rather unstable, stationary or quasi-stationary conditions will seldom occur. The recommendations given in this report are therefore based on recently developed dynamic measurement methods which have proved their practical value. The models are still being improved, however, so a more safe and accurate determination of parameters is likely to be a result of the forthcoming versions.
