Abstract

SCOPE

The method described provides a non-destructive field method for the assessment of the formaldehyde release from possible sources of emission inside a room.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

The method can be used to measure the formaldehyde emission from any plane surface in a room, i.e. walls, floor, ceiling, doors, cupboards, furniture, etc. Especially in cases of complaint it is important to establish which of several possible formaldehyde sources in a room that is sesponsible for the prevailing formaldehyde level, in order that measures may be taken to reduce the emission from that particular source.
