Windows and french doors, child-resistant devices: Strength and function (NT CONS 018)

Abstract

  This testing method relates to child-resistant devices for windows and French doors with respect to strength and function. The tests are assumed to correspond to the attempts at damage and opening which may be caused by children aged up to 5 years. The test method comprises two main aspects – a strength test as described in section 6 and a functional test as described in section 7.
