Abstract

SCOPE

This Nordtest method is a laboratory test method for the determination of the thickness of highly porous thermal insulation materials. Thickness should be measured either on a whole sheet (leading dimension) or on a test specimen cut from the sheet (determination of thermal conductivity).

FIELD OF APPLICATION

Depending on the compression of the mineral wool insulation, this method specifies two standard pressures of 50 Pa and 100 Pa.
