Abstract

1. SCOPE

The scope of this NORDTEST method is to calibrate electrical instruments for the measurement of relative air humidity. The test method is only for measuring equipment which gives off or takes up humidity to a limited extent.

2. FIELD OF APPLICATION

The method can be applied over the whole working range of the instrument as regards relative air humidity, while the temperature range is selected between 0 ºC and the maximum working temperature stated by the manufacturer. The method can be applied in connection with both calibration and state control. The results of the calibration are used as part of the testing of the instrument and further for adjusting the measuring values to a traceable measurement with a fixed accuracy. The state control is performed in connection with each measurement task in order to ensure that the instrument functions correctly.
