Abstract

1. SCOPE

This NORDTEST method describes a test method for evaluating the condensation performance of windows.

2. FIELD OF APPLICATION

The test method is intended for the evaluation of the resistance to condensation on the inner surface of a window. Such condensation will occur if the surface temperature falls below the dew point of the inside air. For evaluation of the resistance to condensation inside the window due to air leakage that permits water vapour from the inside air to penetrate into the window NT BUILD 236 should be used. The test method is not applicable to condensation due to water evaporating from wooden parts of the window. The test method may be used for all types of windows.
