Abstract

SCOPE

The purpose of this NORDTEST method is to measure changes in linear dimensions when test pieces are exposed to air of different relative humidities.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

This method should be used only for building materials intended for use in climatic classes 1 and 2. It should not be used on materials which are installed in a wet state (e g concrete cast in situ, plaster etc.). For such materials and others, there are other tests available which adequately assertain any changes due to changing climatic conditions.
