Abstract

1 . SCOPE

The purpose of this Nordtest method is to examine the resistance to corrosion of metallic building materials protected by organic coating systems. The method is used to determine whether the resistance of a defined building material is sufficient to allow its use in a stipulated corrosive environment, ranging from no to very severe aggressiveness.

2. FIELD OF APPLICATION

The method may be applied to all metallic building materials onto which a protective coat has been applied.
