Three Nordtest methods for testing tensile strength of concrete and bond strength between concrete substructure and cast-on layer of concrete, mortar or sprayed concrete were evaluated in this project for proposing a new revised Nordtest method.
This NORDTEST method specifies a test method for the determination of the ability of bituminous felts to resist tensile strains at temperatures other than 23ºC. The preferred temperatures are 0°C and -10ºC.
This NORDTEST method is intended for the determination of the tensile strength of cast or core drilled test specimens of hardened concrete made with normally existing rock-type aggregate, see Comments.
Nordtest is a trademark of Nordic cooperation in conformity assessment. The emphasis of Nordtest is to develop, promote and innovate Nordic test methods and pre-normative activity. Nordtest endeavours to remove technical barriers to trade and promotes the concept: “Approved once, accepted everywhere”.
